60 Now Look 50 I was not happy with the way I had aged. There were no cons, only great results!! Dr Loupes is an artist. The staff was wonderful. I had no reservations because I knew I had chosen the best plastic surgeon. I had a neck and brow life and I am so happy with the results. Don't hesitate; make an appointment now and you will be amazed what any plastic surgery you choose does for your self esteem.
Amazing Experience for Such a Sensitive Procedure - Virginia Beach, VA Dr. Lopes and her entire staff are amazing. Going in for a sensitive and private surgery was a little intimidating but everyone made me feel very comfortable. The results were way better than I could have expected and I'm really grateful I chose Dr. Lopes as my surgeon. I will most definitely return to her if I ever need anything again.
32, 2 Kids and a Much Needed Mommy Makeover I wanted to repair the damage that breast feeding my two children caused. I was left with nothing but sagging skin with no firmness. Dr. Lopes, my husband and I were able to make a plan and we picked out the implants that would give me the results I desired. I am now 4 weeks out and I couldn't be happier. Dr. Lopes is caring and I really respected her honesty and true opinion.
I had an easy, painless procedure with great results. I went to Dr. Lopes for a labiaplasty. I had the procedure done with local anesthetic. I was nervous at the thought of being awake for the procedure. I'm so glad that everything went so smoothly. It was an incredibly easy procedure. I felt no pain. They used a numbing cream before injecting the anesthetic so I didn't feel the needle at all. The only thing I felt was a slight tugging during the stitching, but no pain. The entire procedure took about an hour. I'm a week post op now and I have not had any pain. I have discomfort when I do a lot of walking because of the swelling. Luckily, the swelling is going down. So far I am very happy with the results. Dr Lopes and her staff were very professional and kept the environment very relaxed. I felt comfortable and at ease the entire time. I was surprised how easy and painless the whole process was. I really love the fact that I had a female surgeon for this procedure. I highly recommend Dr Lopes. I wish I had the procedure done sooner.
Breast Augmentation Revision from Saline to Silicone 31yo, 5'4 110lbs I am 2 days away from my breast augmentation revision surgery date, and since I have not been able to find many posts about cases similar to mine, I have decided to share my revision journey. I am 31 years old, no children, 5'4 and approximately 110lbs. My first breast augmentation surgery was done by Dr. Joanne Lopes 12 years ago, at the age of 19. I went from an A cup to a 30DD/32D. I'm not sure of the profile of my current implants, but I know one is 325cc and the other is 350cc saline, submuscular, inframammary incision. After 12 years I'm beginning to notice slight rippling when I move in certain positions, but mostly I feel the ripples in my cleavage and underneath my breasts. Also, I'm noticing more of the water balloon, sloshing, unnatural feeling. Starting with such a small chest size, not having much breast tissue to begin with is why I believe I am really able to feel the saline implants, especially now that I work out on a regular bases. I decided to return to Dr. Lopes for a consultation back in November to inquire about replacing my implants to silicone. My goal is to achieve a more natural look and feel. I always felt my current implants looked too firm and round, and she confirmed silicone would give me more of the look and feel I was hoping to achieve. My consultation went very well, so I scheduled my surgery for this week, January 10th. Pre-op at Dr. Lopes office went very good as well. The staff are very friendly and helpful in answering all my questions. I've been a bit overwhelmed about what size and profile type implants I should get. Since I am so petite, I was curious if Mentor's high profile would be a better option for me, or their moderate plus profile. Ultimately during my pre-op Dr. Lopes told me she suggested I not go any bigger in size (so as to not overwhelm my frame) and that she would have both implant projection types in surgery with her so she can make that decision of which will work better for me during the procedure. I agreed with her, and trust her opinion. I have to admit I am very nervous though. I hope to keep my current hourglass shape, and cleavage, but I think there is room for improvement, and silicone will make all the difference (I hope!). I am so excited for my upcoming surgery, and I can not wait to share my results and opinion on whether I notice any difference between saline and silicone. I had my breast augmentation revision surgery a couple days ago, and couldn't be more pleased with how everything went. All of the staff at Dr. Lopes office are incredibly kind, and made me feel comfortable during the whole process. I was quite a bit more nervous this time around then when I had my first BA 12 years ago. I think it was because I had done so much reading on different implant profile types, and didn't have a clue which option would look best on my frame. I kept going back and forth. This led to a bit of anxiety, worrying that I may not be happy with my result. However, after I expressed my worries to Dr. Lopes about using high profile implants, and how I thought they may be more firm and unnatural looking, she reassured me that once she saw what implant I already had, she would chose the option that would work best for my body. I completely trusted her opinion, and felt at ease. The entire process was amazingly easy. I was asked to change into a gown and cozy robe, provide a urine sample for a pregnancy test, then met the anesthesiologist. She was absolutely wonderful. Extremely kind and easy to talk to. After a series of health questions, I was hooked up to an IV and led back to the surgery room where I laid down covered in heated blankets. Next thing I knew I was waking up and being wheeled into recovery. I woke up fine. In no pain, and anxious to see my result lol. I was told that my previous implants were a 325 and 350cc moderate profile saline. I was shocked! Moderate profiles are the widest and lowest profile implant option. No wonder I never felt they fit quite right. As petite as I am, I'm surprised they fit at all. Dr. Lopes chose to use 325cc moderate plus profile silicone implants for my replacement. I have to admit, I was a little nervous about the size choice especially knowing I had a different size in each implant previously, most likely to help with asymmetry. I took a peek at them when I got home, and they look fantastic! No asymmetry from what I can tell at this point. Also, I swear my nipples look like they are sitting lower, more where they should be. Maybe it was just me, but looking at my before pic, I swore my nipples looked like they sat a bit high on the implant and kinda pointed outward. On top of that (and this may just be in my head, lol) I swear they are already softer feeling then my saline implants. I'm sure its all just the swelling right now. Which is honestly no where near as bad as the first time. But we will see. As soon as my husband gets home, I will have him help me take pics to share. Heres a pic 3 days post-op. A little swollen I think still, and very bloated, but otherwise I think they are looking great so far!! So I just went for my one week check in yesterday. Everyone at The Cosmetic Surgery Center was wonderful and kind. I love how every I time I walk in, everyone seems to remember me, and is so cheerful and friendly. It truly is a comfortable, warm atmosphere. I saw Brook first, she removed my tape, and showed me the messages I suppose to begin. I remembered them from my previous surgery, but I was grateful to have the refresher. She even gave me a print out that shows you step by step how to perform the massages correctly. After only a few minutes, Dr. Lopes came in to exam me. She answered all my questions that I had forgotten to ask at my post op appointment, and gave me the run down on all my dos and donts for this stage in the healing process. The appointment went great. Everything is healing great at this point, and I am really loving my results so far. I can absolutely feel a difference between the old saline and the new silicone implants. The new implants already feel softer, they seem to give my breasts a softer, not so firm and round appearance, and they feel like apart of me already. Not like a water ballon sitting on my chest. I couldn't be happier!! I still have a ways to go in the healing process. I can't wait to keep you posted as the weeks go along. So far everything seems to be healing well. I'm doing my messages 4-5 times a day, and messaging my incisions as well. I am also using Embrace scar therapy strips. I didn't get them centered on as well as I should. I will definitely have my husband help me put them on next time. They are switched out every 10 days for 2 months. Right breast still looks like its swollen a little or something at the top. I think this is because I am right handed. Hopefully it will catch up with the left one soon. Although in person it really isn't noticeable.
I am very pleased with my entire experience with Dr. Lopes and her staff. My results are amazing! My questions and concerns were answered in a timely fashion. I would definitely recommend Dr. Lopes for any of your cosmetic needs.
