Moxi

Conveniently located to serve Virginia Beach

Fulfill your radiant skin goals with Moxi in Virginia Beach. Moxi is a fractional laser treatment used to improve the surface and texture of the skin. The device can reduce acne scars, deep wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation on the face.

Moxi removes damaged and pigmented cells in the skin, which stimulates the body’s natural healing process. Our medical experts at Cosmetic Surgery Center will utilize their skills and training to perform a comfortable and satisfying Moxi treatment for you.

The Cosmetic Surgery Center is one of the few practices in the Hampton Roads area that offers the treatment.

What Is Moxi?

Moxi - Fractional Laser Treatment

Moxi is a fractional laser treatment device used to remove damaged or pigmented cells, encouraging the body to produce fresh new cells and repair the skin. This process lightens the skin for a younger and brighter appearance.

Moxi is designed to gently encourage skin renewal in the face. Expect pore reduction and improved skin tone. Unlike more aggressive laser treatment options, Moxi is non-ablative and will not damage the skin’s surface.

How Does Moxi Work?

Moxi works by creating random patterns of laser fractions to target damaged skin cells. These fractionated patterns contain microscopic deposits of laser energy set on a specific strength level to prevent any wounds on the skin.

The laser energy in Moxi creates micro dots, which are also called MEND, to stimulate a response in the epidermal tissue and boost collagen and elastin production. This process is good for brightening the skin with faster results compared to topical brightening serums.

Am I a Good Candidate for Moxi?

The best candidates for a Moxi fractional laser treatment are healthy individuals who want to prevent skin aging at an early age or repair uneven skin tone. This treatment will benefit people who want skin resurfacing treatments with no downtime and no discomfort during treatment. A Moxi session is so fast that it can even be done during your lunch break.

Moxi is also effective for all skin types. It is safe to combine with other skin treatments like the BBL photofacial.

To experience the best results from a Moxi treatment, it is recommended to quit smoking and commit to fully taking care of your skin and overall health.

Your Moxi Consultation

A Moxi consultation will involve an assessment of your skin and an open conversation about your appearance goals. We will help you set realistic expectations through a detailed discussion of Moxi’s benefits. Additionally, we will go over your medical history to ensure that Moxi is a safe option for you.

Moxi is a gentle treatment and is safe for all types of skin. During your consultation, we will tell you about any activities and lifestyle choices that are counterproductive to the benefits of a Moxi treatment.

Your Moxi Treatment

The Moxi treatment is popular for its ease of use and gentle approach. A topical numbing cream will be applied to your skin to make the session more comfortable for you.

The Moxi device will be used to treat your face in sections. Expect light pulses and mild prickling sensations during the session.

Moxi Aftercare

After your Moxi session, you will see micro dots that may feel like sandpaper. This is normal, and they will fall off 3-5 days to reveal brighter skin with a more even tone.

Take a break from wearing makeup after your Moxi session, and wait for 24 hours before applying makeup if needed in your routine.

Apply a generous amount of sunscreen with at least SPF 30 to protect your skin from prolonged sun exposure.
