Dr. JoAnne Lopes - Virginia Beach Cosmetic Surgeon
After many years of extensive surgical training and being the mother of three children, Dr. JoAnne Lopes brings outstanding surgical skills coupled with a heightened appreciation for cosmetic concerns. As a female plastic surgeon, she feels that her contribution to the field has been her ability to view plastic surgery from a woman’s perspective and uses this perspective in her approach to cosmetic surgery.
Although her practice consists primarily of female patients, a growing male patient population can appreciate the sensitive and caring style that a woman plastic surgeon such as Dr. Lopes can provide. As a female plastic surgeon, she has a unique ability to make her patients feel comfortable in a surgical environment as well as work with them to formulate a suitable plan of treatment.
Dr. Lopes has an avid interest in skin care, which she feels promotes better skin health to result in ageless beauty. She has an expertise in skin resurfacing using a variety of techniques including the CO2 and Erbium laser, TCA peels, and the Obagi peel. As a female plastic surgeon, she has a large following of Botox® Cosmetic patients, and she is endearingly known as “The Botox® Cosmetic Queen” in her geographic area.
What can’t be achieved with skin care, Botox® Cosmetic, and fat grafts can be achieved with facial cosmetic surgery. Dr. Lopes combines eyelid surgery in her facelifts with fat grafting, Botox® Cosmetic, resurfacing, and neck liposuction to give an overall more youthful appearance. Her practice continues to grow, and she states, “I enjoy my relationships with my patients, the success of my results, and most importantly, the difference it makes in their lives!”
With an ingenuity in body contouring, Dr. Lopes uses all the current modalities of tummy tucks, lifts, and traditional suction assisted liposuction (SAL). Being a woman plastic surgeon, she has a strong interest in breast surgery with a particular interest in breast augmentation and breast reductions.
